If you have a pre-booked appointment at the surgery over the next few days, please contact us BY TELEPHONE in advance of this for advice if you develop any of the following symptoms - cough, cold, fever, shortness of breath - OR if you have recently returned from an area affected by coronavirus OR if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus.


If you may have been exposed to coronavirus DO NOT ATTEND your GP or hospital emergency department, please visit for further advice, or call NHS 111.

Online booking of fact to face appointments has been suspended for the foreseeable future to ensure that patients are triaged to the right service and no-one is put at risk of Coronavirus.



The practice runs clinics by appointment. Each appointment is for 10 minutes.

You can book an appointment by phone (0161 773 0494) or by calling in to the surgery. In the event of an emergency every effort will be made to enable you to see a doctor on the same day.

Telephone Consultations

If you feel that your problem could be dealt with over the telephone rather than by attending the surgery you can telephone reception before 11:00 to book a telephone consultation:

  • With Dr Ralph – Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00 – 12:30
  • With Dr Goolam-Hossen – Tuesday, Thursday 11.00 – 11.30

Please note telephone consultations will not be available if a locum doctor is taking surgery.

Extended Hours Service 


Additional pre-bookable and book on the day appointments are available outside the standard practice hours from the Extended Working Hours service which are provided at Moorgate Primary Care Centre, Radcliffe Primary Care Centre, and Prestwich Health Centre.  The Extended Hours appointments can accessed by calling the practice during the week to pre-book appointments, or patients can ring on the day on Saturday and Sunday to access the on the day appointments.


This service runs from;


Monday - Friday                         between 18:30 - 20:00

Saturday & Sunday                    between 08.00 - 18:00

Practice Nurses

The nurses offer clinics throughout the week for:

  • Well Person
  • Diabetes, Asthma, Stroke, COPD, Heart Disease Reviews
  • Cervical Smears
  • Travel Vaccinations
  • Baby Immunisations


If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Although the building is not closed at lunchtime, the phones are switched to answerphone daily between the hours of 13:00 and 14:00


Training Closures

To facilitate staff training the practice is closed from 13:00 - 15:00 on the Third Tuesday of every month. Arrangements are in place for urgent problems to be dealt with by the local deputising service. The date of the next training day  will be Tuesday 21st May 2019
